  • Creative, Strategy & Content

Let’s get to it shall we?

We need an amazing words person.

Someone who can listen to the mutterings of a mumbled brief, and turn it into world-class work that makes people feel something.

You’ll bend like rubber round different forms of writing – from ads to explainers, long-form to social – with boldness, brevity, brilliance.

(To us, copywriters are also the original strategists. Obsessing about audience, message and outcomes.)

Who are Tilt?

We don’t work on fluff.

We take on big, challenging projects that make a positive impact. Whether helping reduce global drink driving rates alongside the UN, creating drama series for one of the world’s biggest organisations, or explaining complex ideas in bite-sized chunks for the BBC.

So, if you’re happy applying your beautiful brain to selling more sugar water at McGinty, Buttock & Smith, this probably isn’t the role for you.

On the other hand, if you like being given the freedom to flex the full scope of your creative and storytelling powers in the pursuit of something glorious, then come say hello.

Copywriting chops. You:

  • Can write killer ideas.
  • Love scripting – whether explainer, ad or other.
  • Can write long and short-form content.
  • Find it difficult not to correct, a grammar mistake,
  • Work brilliantly with visually-led creatives. (Art directors, designers, filmmakers, animators etc. etc.)
  • Refuse to be beaten by “boring briefs.”
  • Have worked with big brands and organisations on challenging projects.
  • Love the art (and buzz) of proposal/pitch work.
  • Write. Write. And re-write.

 Bonus points if you:

  •  Have experience in writing for digital experiences (from immersive stories, to interactive games).
  • Have experience writing drama, comedy or other narrative scripts.
  • Get a kick out of running workshops.
  • Have experience working with learning content.
  • Can knock up a pretty decent wireframe to help designers.

 Personal qualities. You:

  • Are constantly told you have a way with words.
  • Love what you do. Seriously, we can tell.
  • Are tenacious.
  • Don’t take feedback personally.
  • Are brave. You’re happy to keep pushing clients further than they expected.
  • Can sell an idea verbally.
  • Know great design when you see it.
  • Collaborate well. Can get on with things alone.

You’re not:

  • Surface. You think a lot about how and why something works.
  • Standard issue. We like individuals and misfits. That doesn’t mean you have to be loud and wacky – just that you’re happy being yourself.
  • A monster. We are nice people who do great work. Egomaniacs need not apply.

What will you get from us?

You’ll work with creatives, strategists, coders and assorted genii to create award-winning, category-defying work.

The salary conversation is between £60,000 to £50,000 dependant upon experience.

You’ll also get:

  • Personal Development & Conference budgets
  • F45 Gym Membership
  • Sustainable Pension Scheme
  • Corporate Healthcare & cash-back scheme
  • Enhanced maternity / paternity leave
  • Charity fundraising donation matching
  • Access to Independent Financial Advisor
  • Hybrid working
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Tech Scheme
  • Monthly Massage & Wellbeing Therapist
  • Learning Lunches

Look, we could go on.

But, if the above sounds like you, then that means you’re a rare breed, and we would love to chat.
